At its core, it is envisioned that an IITGN Ph.D. degree will be a personal journey for the student during which they undergo deep introspection, and mature both academically and personally.
At least 55% marks or 5.5 CPI marks in B.Tech/M.Tech is required.
The disciplines may use higher cut off levels for short listing besides giving due consideration to the way questions are answered in the application form.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PD categories would be eligible for relaxations, as per norms, in the selection criteria.
Early Admit MTech
BTech students from NITs and select colleges who are among the top 5 rank holders in the departments at the end of their pre-final year are eligible to apply for Early Admit PhD admissions.
BTech students from IITs with a CPI/CGPA of not less than 6.0 at the end of their 3rd year and 4th year are eligible to apply.

TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIPS
Travel support up to Rs 2 Lakhs for attending international conferences.
Support of up to $12,500 may be considered for research at leading Universities/Labs abroad for a period of upto 6 months.
