PROGRAMS

Regular MTech

  • Candidates who have a valid GATE score (at the time of interview/written test) are eligible to apply for MTech.
  • BTech graduates from the IITs with CGPA/CPI of 8.0 or above (on scale of 10) would be eligible to admission without having to appear in GATE.

Early Admit MTech

  • BTech students from NITs and select colleges who are among the top 5 rank holders in the departments at the end of their pre-final year are eligible to apply for Early Admit MTech admissions.
  • BTech students from IITs with a CPI/CGPA of not less than 6.0 at the end of their 3rd year and 4th year respectively are eligible to apply.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Minimum of 55% marks / 5.5 (on a 10 point scale) in B.E. /BTech or equivalent in appropriate branches (50% marks for SC /ST).
  • Candidates who have a valid GATE score (at the time of interview/written test) are eligible to apply for MTech. GATE is not required for application to MTech on a part-time basis or for the PGDIIT programme.
  • BTech graduates from the IITs with CGPA/CPI of 8.0 or above (on scale of 10) would be eligible to admission without having to appear in GATE.
  • Candidates applying for the regular MTech program and who are sponsored by their employers do not require GATE score and can be considered as sponsored candidates provided (a) candidate has been in service for more than 2 years (b) employer grants 2 years of study leave and (c) employer undertakes to financially support the candidate for the entire duration of 2 years.
  • The eligibility criteria mentioned above is minimum and the disciplines may use higher cut-off levels for shortlisting. Candidates belonging to EWS/SC/ST/PD categories would be eligible for relaxations, as per norms, in the selection criteria.

 

FINANCIAL SUPPORT

  • Early Admit MTech:
    • 12,400/- + Rs. 3,000 (Director’s fellowship) per month (with valid GATE score)
    • 6,000/- per month (without GATE score)
  • Regular MTech:
    • 12,400/- per month
  • The students in PGDIIT/ MTech on a part time basis will not receive any stipend/scholarship.

TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIPS

  • Institute encourages MTech sudents to present their research work at national and international conferences
  • Institute provides travel scholarships of upto Rs. 60000/- to such students.
